Privacy Policy

BusyShield (“BusyShield”, “we”, “us”), operated by Phaseable Ventures, helps you keep your calendars in sync by projecting your busy times across the calendars you connect. This policy explains what data we access, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions? Email paul@phaseable.com.
What we access
When you connect a calendar (Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook / Microsoft 365, or Apple iCloud), you authorize BusyShield to read your calendar events and to create, update, and delete events on your calendars. We read the time and availability of your events so we can mirror them; by default we do not copy event titles, descriptions, attendees, or locations.
How we use it
We use your event times to create opaque “Busy” blocks on your other connected calendars, so anyone checking your availability sees the correct free/busy picture everywhere. You may optionally raise the detail level per calendar (for example to include an event’s title); when you do, only that information is included in the mirrored block, and mirrored blocks are always marked private. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not use it to train machine-learning or AI models.
Google API Services — Limited Use
BusyShield’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We only access Google Calendar data to provide the calendar-sync feature you requested, we do not transfer or sell it to third parties, and we do not allow humans to read it except where required for security, to comply with law, or with your explicit consent for support.
How we store and protect it
Calendar access tokens are stored encrypted in a dedicated secrets vault and are used only by our sync engine. Account and sync records are held in our database (hosted on Supabase) with per-user access controls. We transmit data over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). We never sell your data or share it with third parties for their own purposes; we share data only with the infrastructure providers that run the service (such as Supabase, Vercel, Google, Microsoft, and Apple) strictly to operate BusyShield.
Retention and deletion
You are in control. Disconnecting a calendar removes the busy-blocks BusyShield created for it (on that calendar and on the others), deletes that calendar’s stored credentials, and removes its sync records. Deleting your account removes your connected calendars and associated data. You can also revoke BusyShield’s access at any time from your Google, Microsoft, or Apple account settings.
Cookies
We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
